Victoria was
born and brought up in London and trained at the Drama Studio London and has
gone on to work extensively in television, including Silent Witness
(BBC), Holby City (BBC), Eastenders (BBC), Doctors (BBC),
Casualty (BBC), Table 12 (World Productions), The Bill
(Thames), The Knock (LWT), Dream Team (Sky), Wire in the
Blood (Coastal Productions), Hearts and Bones (Meridian), as well as
children's television programmes Powers (BBC) and Behind Closed
Doors ( BBC - winner Children's Jury Prize, best overall programme, Prix
Danube 2003).
Films include
David Kane's This Year's Love and Born Romantic, Une Souris
Verte, The Object of Beauty. Theatre includes Theatre of Blood at
the Royal National Theatre in 2005 (in a co-production with Improbable
Theatre), the improvised Soap Swiss '06 at Hampstead Theatre, and
earlier in new plays Table for One by Simon Mendes da Costa and
Lunatic's Tango by Roy Smiles at Hen & Chickens. She has toured
nationally with Millsteam Touring Company and throughout Europe with
Confederacy of Fools.
She has worked
as a TV and film puppeteer, including A Muppet Christmas Carol, A
Muppet Treasure Island, The Harry Hill Show, Mopatop's Shop,
The Hoobs.
As a comedy
improviser Victoria guests with The Comedy Store Players, was a founder
member of Improper (Lowdown at the Albany, Komedia Brighton, Soho Theatre) and
one fifth of Sprout (Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh 2004, The Pleasance London). She
is a bilingual Portuguese speaker, narrating a number of audio books as well as
BBC TV's Talk Portuguese. She has appeared in a number of commercials,
and is the voice of The Maid in Channel 5's new animated children's series
The Little Princess, starring alongside Julian Clary and Jane Horrocks.
The series will be broadcast from Monday 9th October 2006.
