Sue started her
career as one quarter of double act Mel and Sue. Together they jumped and
shouted and gurned through countless hours of television, notably Light Lunch
and Late Lunch. They were nominated for several awards, and won none.
As a solo
performer, Sue presented three series of the Sky film show, Movie Babylon, and
two series of Good Evening Rockall, BBC 3. She is the host of the Sony Award
winning 99p Challenge, with Armando Iannucci and Simon Pegg, and appears
regularly on Just A Minute, the Mark Radcliffe Show and It's Been a Bad Week
(Radio 2).
In 2005 Sue
wrote and performed her first solo stand-up show Spectacle wearer of the
Year at the Edinburgh festival, which received rave reviews. In 2006 she
returned to Edinburgh with The Disappointing Second Show. The title
proved overly pessimistic as the show, like its 2005 predecessor, was a
critical and sell out success.
Sue is currently
touring her Disappointing Second Show around the UK.
