Graham Fellows is best known for his comic creation, John Shuttleworth who starred in the hit series 500 Bus Stops (BBC 2) and the Award Winning Radio series The Shuttleworths (BBC Radio 4).

Graham was already well known as an actor and creator of the hit single Jilted John. As John Shuttleworth he continued his pop association when he supported Blur at the Miles End Stadium.

He has starred in three series of The Shuttleworths (BBC Radio 4) and the show was nominated for a Sony Award and Writer's Guild Award. Radio Shuttleworth ran for two series and was also nominated for a Sony Award. As John Shuttleworth his TV credits include Euro Pigeon and Later With Jools Holland (both BBC 2), Big Breakfast and Saturday Zoo (both Channel 4). In 2000 he won the Manchester Evening News Comedy Award for his show 2000 & John. Since then other successful national tours include 'John Shuttleworth Has One Foot In The Gravy' and 'John Shuttleworth in Pillock of the Community'.

At the 1999 Edinburgh Fringe, Graham introduced his new character Brian Appleton in a sell-out show called Brian Appleton's History of Rock 'n' Roll. A radio series based on the show was later broadcast on BBC Radio 4. As Brian Appleton, Graham also toured with the indie band Belle & Sebastian and presented a new show for Channel 4 - Elvis Lives. In 2002 he toured his new show Brian Appleton in Let's Look at Sound, which was nominated for the Manchester Evening News Comedy Awards. On Christmas Day in 2003 he presented Brian Appleton's Christmas Singles on BBC Radio 4.

As an actor, Graham has featured as Les Charlton in Coronation Street, Comics (Channel 4) Coogan's Run (BBC 2) and Time Gentlemen Please (Sky). He provided all the voices for Aardman's Bafta Award winning short film Stage Fright. More recently he recorded two children's drama series for television - Dangerville for ITV and Bad Penny for BBC. He also appeared in Jim Cartwright's play TWO at the Dukes Theatre and is soon to be seen in Cheeky - David Thewlis's new feature film. He has just finished making his own film called IT'S NICE UP NORTH - starring John Shuttleworth.

In May 2004 he toured as Brian Appleton in "The Very Best Of the Doors (in my home)". His new comedy character, Dave Tordoff will also made an appearance on the tour.

Graham is currently recording Brian Appleton's Unofficial Multimedia Lecture for BBC Radio 4 and is preparing for his UK tour, Fawn Again as John Shuttleworth.

Later in the year John will make a special guest appearance on BBC 2's 'Best and Worst of God'. He has also been commissioned by BBC Radio 4 to write a new John Shuttleworth series called 'John Shuttleworth's Open Mind' to be broadcast in 2006.
